Welcome to Lincoln Elementary School
"Where The Love of Learning Begins"
Pre-School through Second Grade.

Lincoln Elementary is a “home away from home” for over 200 preschool through second graders living in Baxter Springs. Lincoln has the reputation of being one of the best schools for children to attend throughout the southeast Kansas area.

At Lincoln the teachers have an average of over 20 years experience teaching children. They continue to learn the latest and best ways to reach all students. Every year we have many student teachers from Pittsburg State University that are assigned to Lincoln in order for them to learn from some of the best classroom instructors that Kansas has to offer.

Students at Lincoln attend classes that range within the size of ten to twenty students. Because of small class sizes and a great staff, the students are able to receive the individual attention they need to be as successful as possible.
Lincoln’s curriculum is driven by the Kansas State standards and indicators in order to ensure that each student is achieving at the academic level that is needed to enable them to be successful throughout their school years.

The technology that is available to Lincoln students is second to none. Students have computers available in each classroom and spend time every day in one of our two computer labs.

Teachers at Lincoln feel very thankful to work in a district that supports and believes in early childhood education; a place where they feel that they are really given an opportunity to be the very best at what they do
