The Baxter Springs board of education held a special meeting on Monday, November 12, 2003 at 5:00 p.m. in the Middle School board room. Members present were: Wayne Stith, Kim Wilson, Chuck Sweeton, Chuck Wren, Terry Daniel and DeAnne Binns. Also present were: Dennis Burke, Vicki Bradley, Larry Hiatt and Carolyn Ashford.

President DeAnne Binns called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.

Superintendent Dennis Burke stated the purpose of the special meeting was to discuss a cooperative agreement with USD#493 for wrestling and to discuss a student issue.

Kim Wilson made a motion to approve the agenda as printed. Chuck Sweeton seconded. Carried 6-0.

Terry Daniel made a motion to enter into executive session to discuss matters affecting a student in order to protect the privacy interests of the individuals to be discussed and that we return to open session in this room after a 10 minute period of time. This executive session shall include the board and Superintendent. Kim Wilson seconded. Carried 6-0.

5:03 p.m. Enter executive session.
5:13 p.m. Resume regular session.

Chuck Sweeton made a motion to approve a cooperative agreement with USD#493 for wrestling. Chuck Wren seconded. Carried 6-0.

Chuck Wren made a motion to adjourn. Terry Daniel seconded. Carried 6-0.

Meeting adjourned: 5:15 p.m.
